We celebrated all our pagan Easter traditions the Saturday before Easter up at the Ambassador’s residence. We colored eggs (and fingers, the table, clothing, etc…), smashed a piñata, hunted for candy-filled eggs, had photo ops with the “Easter Bunny” who was really a young Marine who got talked into wearing the silly suit. Lauren was fascinated with him and stared at him for quite some time, she was also traumatized by the piñata craziness. Rachel got to play with all her little friends (there was a baby boom at the Embassy last summer.) And Paul and Sarah pilfered the Easter baskets as usual.
